Spheretic

Spheretic is an art project spanning three connected formats: a computer game, a live performance, and an Instagram mask. The performance was documented through photography, while the mask bridges the virtual world of the game with the physical world of the performance.

The game has no fixed plot or objectives; it is built around playful exploration and the simple joy of filling a meadow with large red balls using a custom tool. Players can also capture in-game photos and save them locally.

A hidden room inside the game reveals photographs from the performance, where we interact with large red balloons together with Julia Samodurova, co-author of the concept. The Instagram mask extends the same core mechanic into real life, allowing users to place the ball directly into their physical environment.
